A note from the Founder
The word meraki means to put something of yourself into your work - to create with soul, with love, with intention. That is what Apolliana is to me.
After 27 years in the IT business - as Head of IT at Samsung, and most recently at Lindt & Sprüngli - I made the decision to follow an idea that had lived in me for many years. An idea that spoke not just to my mind, but to my heart.
It began on a quiet night, lying in bed, eyes open to the dark. The whole story came to me - how it should look, how it should smell, what it should be called. As if the idea had always existed, waiting to be named. And in that stillness, one thought became clear:
"This idea has to be born. If not by me, then surely by someone else."
Apolliana is the expression of what I have
always believed in - the power of love, which carried me through so many dark moments. To me, it’s also about the quiet strength of women who feel deeply and live with intention.
As someone who has always seen beauty even when it was not obvious - this brand is a reflection of all those pieces.
What would mean the most to me is knowing Apolliana touched someone - that the story, the scent, or the intention behind it felt personal to them.

About the name
Apolliana is a celebration of light, beauty, and conscious choice.
The name brings together two worlds: the intellect of the Problem of Apollonius, an ancient geometric puzzle symbolizing the elegance of complexity
and the joy of finding harmony and the radiant optimism of Pollyanna, the beloved literary heroine who chooses hope not out of naivety, but as a deliberate act of grace.
This balance between awareness and wonder, between clarity and warmth, defines the soul of Apolliana. The brand’s symbol, inspired by the geometric forms of Apollonius, reflects this philosophy visually: a mark of thoughtful design and inner alignment.
